Senior Got Talent Singapore competition 2017

18 competitors were selected to audition on 16th December 2017. 11 finalists, of which 10 were solo singers and one skit performing group of 9, were selected for the final competition held in the morning of 29th December prior to the Dinner & Dance that same evening. Mr Chen Jen Tock emerged the winner with his rendition of ‘She has to go’ in his deep magnetic voice. 2nd winner went to Mr Alvin Choo who sang ‘You Raise Me Up’ in his wide vocal range. 3rd winner was the Performing Group ‘Seniors Boleh’ who put on a skit about a group of performers who are ‘willing, have the time, but may not have the ‘talent’. They went on stage after attending a SACE Acting course. It was hilarious! The relevance of cultivating talent for the seniors caught the attention of the press and the event was featured in the Straits Times the next day. Kudos to the organising committee who managed the event at a very short notice.
